Jim Schultz worked at Ongarue in the Taumarunui district, and collected ferns between 1942 and 1965 from the forestry blocks.

His fern collection was digitised in 2008 with a grant from TSB Community Trust, and allows us to have a close look at the fern fronds.

Visit the virtual herbarium here to see the history of Jim Schultz and his ferns, and see scanned images of the fern collection. If you click on the Family name, the ferns that Jim collected which are classified in that group will appear on a page as thumbnail images.
