Uliodon albopunctatus is a large common, endemic spider and is a member of vagrant spiders (Genus Uliodon). It is a ground dwelling spider with a body length up to 27 mm and is found in gardens and forests throughout New Zealand. It is nocturnal. The female places her hemispherical eggsac in hollows under rocks, logs, etc. The bite of this spider can be painful.
