The cultivar Callistemon 'Burgundy Jack' is an evergreen, dense, bushy shrub. It has stiff, green lanceolate leaves that can have a slight lemon smell when crushed. 
In spring and autumn, it has cylindrical spikes of deep burgundy bottlebrush flower heads. These attract bees, nectar-eating birds, butterflies and insects.
