Species: H. brockiei
Binomial name: Hebe brockiei

Hebe brockiei is a much-branched, low-growing, evergreen shrub, reaching 20 cm or more tall. The leaves are about 12 mm long, oval, mid-green and markedly concave (dish-shaped). Crowded spikes of white flowers are borne in May and June.
It was found in grassland at the head of the Doubtful River, Canterbury, South Island, New Zealand, and was named after Walter Brockie, curator of the Otari Native Plant Museum, Wellington, New Zealand. It has only been found in the one locality in the hills between Arthur’s Pass and Lake Man.

There has always confusion whether it’s a valid species or a hybrid but it is regarded as a form of Hebe treadwellii.

Photographed at Otari Native Botanic Garden and Wilton's Bush Reserve. Wellington.
