Hebe pauciramosa forms an upright, evergreen shrub endemic to mountains in the South Island of New Zealand. It grows as an upright, evergreen shrub about 40 cm and has a low spreading habit It has lime green, leathery, spoon-shaped, pointed leaves, 6 mm long, and white flowers which are borne in short spikes during November to January.
It is closely allied to Hebe odora with a similar leaf form. Hebe odora has a shiny upper surface, and a dull lower surface. Hebe pauciramosa both leaf surfaces are equally dull.
