Leptospermum polygalifoilum ssp.tropicum is a hardy, weeping, evergreen. Shrub. The natural form known as Leptospermum 'Cardwell' originates, as the name suggests, in the Cardwell area of north Queensland.
It has a weeping habit and it grows up to 2 m in height. The cascading branches are covered in small, mid to light green, linear leaves that are intensely aromatic when crushed.
It produces a profusion of small creamy white, cup-shaped flowers in late spring and early summer. They are borne along the shrub’s arching branches.
