Pimelea oreophila is a hardy pimelea from the mountains with glaucous foliage and abundant white flowers which are followed by pink berries. It is found in the North and South Islands at altitudes between 500 – 2000m. In the North Island it is present on the volcanic plateau and the mountains between Kaweka and the Ruahine Ranges. In the South islands it is found in most mountain regions. It is common through out the tussock grasslands and herbfields extending to fellfields on sheltered sites.
It grows to a height of 0.15m and has a spread of 0.5m.
Sold by nurseries as a ground cover in landscaping.
