Pteris tremulae is a fern species of the family Pteridaceae native to New Zealand, Australia and Fiji. It is common in the sheltered forests, scrub clearings and gardens. It has pale green, lacy fronds up to 45cm - 150cm long, with an erect, tufted rhizome that is covered with narrow brown scales. It is fast-growing and easy to grow in cultivation but can become weedy. It is a fast-growing tufted ground fern. It stems are red-brown and fronds are divided into long narrow leaflets. The common name of this fern refers to the way its fronds tend to tremble in a breeze. Its fronds are unpalatable to stock.
