Gleichenia dicarpa is a small fern growing in Australia and New Zealand. Referred to as one of the Coral Ferns. A common plant, often seen growing under waterfalls, in swamps, under cliffs and in tall open forests. It prefers high humidity and good levels of sunshine and moisture.
The fronds are variable 20-100 cm long and consisting of 1 - 3 tiers of pinnae. The pinnae are forked 2 - 3 times with final segments 2 - 3 mm long, rounded and pouched on the underside, with one to two brown sporangia.
