Pittosporum tenuifolium 'Tom Thumb' also known as Tawhiwhi 'Tom Thumb' is a dense, slow-growing dwarf evergreen shrub of rounded habit, with reddish-brown, undulate leaves. Grow to 0.6m in height.

Pittosporum tenuifolium 'Waimea' has shimmering leaves are glossy jade green oval leaves, lighter beneath with light green stems. Great as a feature or a hedge. Very dark maroon, almost black flowers in spring. Grows to a height of.4m and a width of 2 m.

Pittosporum tenuifolium 'Elizabeth' is a medium-sized evergreen shrub growing to a height of>2.5 metres. It has variegated, glossy, wavy green leaves (2.5-6cm long) that are edged in cream and pink. The pink becomes more pronounced in cold weather. The stems are a dark chocolate colour. In late spring and early summer, it produces small scented bell-shaped purple flowers.

Pittosporum tenuifolium Humpty Dumpty. Synonym: Emerald Star PVR. It is a dwarf pittosporum growing wider than it does high (1m high x 1.5m wide) and has a very dense branching habit to the ground. It has bright lime green new foliage through summer.

Pittosporum pimeleoides ‘Chantilly’ is a small frost tender bushy hybrid Pittosporum with highly scented lemon flowers in June & July. It grows to a height of 60cm and a width of 30cm.
It is a hybrid between P.michiei and Pittosporum pimeleoides var. pimeleoides and has been marketed by Naturally Native Nursery. It is especially recommended for cultivation in pots and for the scent of its flowers when in full flower.

Pittosporum eugenioides 'Variegatum'.  Common name: Variegated tarata is a large, bushy evergreen shrub growing to 4-8 metres with an ultimate spread of 2.5-4 metres. It develops slender, dark shoots and lemon scented grey to green to pale green oval leaves margined with creamy-white variegation. In summer it has small, fragrant pale yellow flowers are borne in terminal clusters.

Pittosporum tenuifolium 'Emerald Lake' is a dense upright evergreen shrub. It has almost black branches and with glossy dark green foliage. Will grow to 3m X 2m.

Pittosporum tenuifolium ‘Gold Star’ was found and raised by Midland Horticulture of Palmerton North, North Island, New Zealand. It is a small growing compact bushy shrub which grows to 2.4–3 m high.  It has golden variants in the centre of the leaves. The margins are slightly wavy and are up to 2.5 cm long. They have a white midrib and dark green edges. It has scented dark maroon male flowers in spring.

Pittosporum tenuifolium ‘Goldenball’ is a cultivar of Pittosporum tenuifolium and is one of the new Pittosporum dwarf Golf Ball series. It is a dense, round shrub 40 cm tall and wide with small bright golden/green leaves.
Asexual reproduction of is plant is illegal by the Plant Patent Act. It is prohibited during the life of the patent.

The cultivar Pittosporum tenuifolium 'Irene Paterson' is a small frost hardy perennial, evergreen, slow-growing, dense cone shape shrub with ovate shaped leaves that have an undulate margin. The leathery foliage on opening is white, becoming covered with a white spotted variegation with age. The leaves are often tinged pink during winter.  The stems are a dark brown. 
Fragrant deep purple 5-petalled bell-shaped flowers are produced rather sparsely from late spring. These are followed by spherical, woody fruits splitting to reveal seeds embedded in sticky pulp.
It grows well in semi-shade and direct sun and prefers medium levels of water. It is adapted to chalk, clay loam, loam, loamy sand, sandy clay loam and sandy loam soils, and prefers high fertility. It grows to an ultimate height of 2 metres and has a spread of up to 1.5 metres.

Pittosporum “Waihao” is an evergreen cultivar with a dense and compact habit. The foliage is a dark green. It is a hardy Pittosporum and is often used as a hedge. Clips well.

Pittosporum tenuifolium 'Silver Sheen' is a fast growing large, wispy evergreen shrub with distinctive foliage. It has small oval silver-green leaves on thin black branches. The small leaves start uniformly round and elongate with age. This cultivar has notably had a more open habit and smaller leaves than the Pittosporum species. It can grow to 3m tall and is frost and wind hardy.

The cultivar Pittosporum tenuifolium 'Wrinkled Blue' is a vigorous, densely-foliaged erect evergreen shrub with silver-blue, wavy edge leaves on dark stems. It will grow to a height of 4m. Its flowers are insignificant or absent in summer. It is a hardy shrub and will tolerate temperatures down to -15°C.

Pittosporum tenuifolium ‘Variegata’ is a large, bushy, evergreen shrub or small tree (3m x 1.5m) which forms a natural oval. It is a strongly variegated Pittosporum with greyish green leaves with creamy margins. It has dark grey or black young stems. Sold in nurseries and used for hedging.

Pittosporum  ‘Zen’ is a cultivar that in its early stage has cherry red leaves with lime green new tips.  When the shrub matures the leaves become a khaki green with a red tinge.

Metrosideros excelsa ‘Golden Dawn’, a reverse-variegated Australian-raised cultivar growing to 3-5 m high but can be contained by trimming after flowering. The leaves have green outer margins and yellow centres. The flowers are a melon pink and appear early to mid-summer. It likes coastal conditions.
